In 2013, Lambton College established the Bluewater Technology Access Centre, currently known as the Lambton Manufacturing Innovation Centre (LMIC) as an advance manufacturing centre to work collaboratively with Canadian businesses to advance their products, process and services through technical services, applied research, and specialized training. LMIC works with a range of businesses, including new companies, existing SMEs, and large manufacturing companies.
LMIC provides its partners with access to critical state-of-the-art equipment, infrastructure, expertise and funding sources to help them achieve their research and development (R&D) goals and solve some of their most complex challenges.
LMIC is a Technology Access Centre (TAC), part of the College and Community Innovation Program managed by
Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
